Abstract  (English)

Bamboo weaving serves as an effective platform for art, language, and culture among the Sudipenians, who unite within their community to showcase their cultural heritage through the art and language embedded in bamboo weaving. This thesis investigates bamboo weaving as a medium for expressing the native language and culture of the Sudipenians. By interviewing participants, the researchers collected and transcribed languages indicative of Sudipenian culture. These were carefully analyzed through transcription and coding, resulting in four themes that reflect Sudipenian language and culture: the variety of bamboo used in weaving, terminology used in the weaving process categorized into materials, processes, and products, the characteristics essential for a weaver, and the contribution of bamboo weaving to livelihoods. These findings collectively serve as the cultural essence of the Sudipenians.
