Abstract

This study aimed to examine the level of cultural heritage awareness of the Namunganayan nga ayayam of the Bago tribe among the Senior High School learners. The study revealed that the level of awareness and understanding of the respondents of their Namunganayan nga ayayam was moderate with an average weighted mean of 3.28. The respondents were highly agree that various cultural beliefs, values, and traditions play significant impact in shaping their awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the Namunganayan nga ayayam. The participants’ personal experiences have contributed to their appreciation and interest in playing the Namunganayan nga ayayam and provide an avenue towards the development of cultural identity. The Namunganayam nga ayayam is relevant asthese promotes appreciation and understanding of cultural identity and heritage, foster preservation of culture, and develop unique values and skills. Lastly, the video presentation was created to promote cultural heritage awareness among the learners.
